Privacy at a glance

We process personal data sparingly and only for the purposes described here. The controller is Excelit-IT, owner Waseem Alsaleh (contact: see the Imprint).

Contact and demo requests

When you use our contact or demo form, we process the data you enter — name, company (optional), email address and message — together with your consent and its timestamp, in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR.

First-party analytics

We run our own privacy-friendly analytics with no third-party trackers. Non-essential analytics cookies and events are only set after your explicit consent via the cookie banner. Without consent (or after withdrawal) no analytics are collected; a browser "Do Not Track" signal is respected as a default-off.

IP addresses and location

To derive an approximate location (country/region) your IP address is evaluated server-side. By default we store country/region and a salted hash of your IP address, not the plaintext IP. Only when a corresponding configuration is enabled is the raw IP additionally stored, and it is then automatically deleted after 90 days.

Cookies

Essential/functional cookies (session, language choice, your cookie decision) are permitted without consent. Analytics cookies are non-essential and set only with consent.

Retention

Raw analytics events are deleted after 90 days; aggregated, anonymous roll-ups are kept for up to ~25 months. Request data is deleted once no longer needed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and to withdraw a consent you have given. To have your data deleted or anonymized, write to datenschutz@excelit-it.com.
